I've been fortunate to have worked in several different roles in my career, at a few different institutions. While I've had multiple different titles, and quite a few different responsibilities, I believe that the themes of my career make sense in a big picture kind of way. The threads of my career reveal a lot of education, leadership, technology, and innovative thinking – four things that I hope to continue focusing on for the reast of my life.
Over the course of my career, I have focused my work on four major areas:
Administration & Leadership, Bakersfield College
January, 2017 to July, 2023
I served the college for 5 years in the role of Dean of Academic Technology, and for 7 months in an experimental role, the Vice President of Innovation and Development. In August of 2022, I voluntarily left administration and returned to a full time faculty position in the Computer Science Department at Bakersfield College.
Faculty in Computer Science, Bakersfield College
May, 1998 to Present
As a full time, tenured professor in the Business Management and Information Technology for over 15 years, I have taught and developed a variety of classes in Computer Science, and also served in numerous leadership roles on campus.

Consulting / Software Development
Doing work in addition to my 'day job' has always been a big part of my professional picture. The work I do has ranged from marketing and graphic design, to web and software development, to the development of full-scale learning management systems. In 2012, to support these efforts, I launched The Learning Underground, Inc.
This corporate structure provides a capital resource and legal structure to support large-scale and experimental projects.
